This stock medical exhibit depicts a traumatic amputation of the left thumb and fingers with surgical replantation. The top images show the pre-operative condition, first with skin and soft tissues, then with just bone to more clearly describe the injury. The remaining images describe multiple steps of the repair procedure, including debridement of the amputation site, securing of the finger bones with K-wires, placement of bone graft, and repair of the lacerated tendons, nerves, and blood vessels.
